A Serious Cintiq Contender - Use With Surface Pro2
Date:August 1, 2014
"I recently purchased this product and have been using it for about 2 weeks.
The key features for me are:
•Wacom compatibility - able to use the same Tablet PC Wacom Enabled pens that are used industry wide. Can use the Surface Pro 1 & 2 pen, Samsung Galaxy Note pens, Wacom Bamboo Feel Stylus, and of course, the included Lenovo stylus as well.
•Runs on USB - no need to be chained to an outlet. By simply connecting the main USB 3.0 cable to your Surface Pro 2 (or laptop) and the second cable to an external USB battery (like a smartphone charger-very inexpensive), you can use this screen on the go.
•CONS -USB cable is easily disconnected. The slightest bump interrupts the connection and causes screens to reset.
While the LT1423p is not for everyone, I think for those for whom it is intended, it is an absolute God-send and brilliant product that has been inexplicably hidden from the very industry that would embrace it.
Check http://surfaceproartist.com/ for some tips on setup."

Great purchase for digital art!
Date:April 28, 2014
"Note: Update the Displaylink and Wacom drivers. Solved calibration issues I had with multiple displays (using 2 monitors + LT1423p).
Pros 1. Wacom digitizer 2. Awesome IPS screen, no problems with viewing angles, accurate colours 3. Lightweight 4. Way cheaper than other comparable products 5. USB powered, not constrained to one machine
Cons 1. Eraser tip (other compatible stylus) is not working, probably hardware lockdown 2. USB connector of computer may sometimes be loose and power cuts off (not a problem w/ the LT1423p itself) 3. Pen tracking is slower, strokes drawn are a bit more wavy, can be reduced with software that can smooth strokes 4. Availability seems to be a problem.
There are compromises, but personally, I can live with it, for the price asked."
