For the Price ... better than the N5902

Date:July 30, 2012
" I bought the N5902 a few months ago (see my Review), and last week bought the N5901. If they were the same Price, I would definitely say, "Buy the N5902", but since the N5901 is so much cheaper ... the benefits of the newer model are not great enough to justify the Price.
For a comparison:
The N5902 has the AA Batteries ... but without the Back-Lit keyboard, the AAA's work fine.
The N5902 has a Back-Lit keyboard ... but since it is only bright enough to be helpful in a very dark room, you will still need a flashlight around.
The N5902 has a Mat Finish ... but the Glossy Finish looks better (minus the finger prints).
The N5902 has an Optical Mouse ... but the Ball Mouse gets you across the page in one 'flick' (but it does rattle).
The N5902 has a Scroll Bar ... but it is ribbed, and after a few hours of use, my finger gets sore.
Both models are really good. Both let you totally get rid of your Mouse ... but neither lets you totally get rid of your Keyboard (they miss key strokes), or Flashlight. I like each for different reasons, and if the Back Lit Keyboard was brighter, it would definitely justify the additional cost (but it is only helpful 5% of the time, and if I did not have rechargeable batteries ... I would just turn it off [which is a nice feature of the N5902])
Bottom line .... get one of these! If you only plan to use it in a dark room (i.e. Home Theater), get the N5902. If you plan to use it on a computer, or a dim room, get the N5901 ... for the Price, the N5901 is a better deal. "
