Simple, but very nice
Date:March 20, 2012
"I have used a few remote controls for PC. None of them worked this well. I have used it for about a month now and I love it. It even has a single "Ctrl-Alt-Del" button to simplify the 3-finger salute. I use mine with a notebook that is attached to my 40" flat-screen TV in my living room. It makes it sooooo easy to change over to the PC and go to Netflix, Youtube, Hulu, etc."

USB Dongle got hot and quit working after 3rd use
Date:February 16, 2012
Pros: Weight, Software compatibility, Keyboard/peripherals, no drivers required
Cons: Durability, key visibility
"No service parts available, I bought 2 remotes, thought they would be good for HTPC but it was impossible to see keys without a flashlight in my mouth. So just use for quick setups and repairs but some how after using only 3 times the dongle quit working (gets very Hot ) and they do not have any replacement dongles available? If I had lost it I would be ticked but failure after very little use and no parts is a waste. I would love to try the new unit with back light but am hesitant to toss another 50 bucks in the trash."

Forget it if you are over 35
Date:February 1, 2012
Pros: Build Quality
"Letters and print on the accessory are impossible to read if you are over 35 or have impaired vision for any reason. The print could have been larger and bolder. The keys are tiny too.I should have expected that but did not. I've had it 9 months and haven't used it much for these reasons and because I keep losing the dongle. I didn't know it had a storage space for the dongle until I read the review here that mentioned it. I agree the trackball needs to be tamed a bit. You can't use it if your hands are the slightest bit shakey or impaired. It would be great if it had a marker to see the Left & Right click buttons."

Dongle stopped working
Date:January 23, 2012
Cons: Build Quality, Durability
"After more than one year and almost no use the dongle is simply not recognized any longer. Tried in 3 PCs and a laptop, XP and Win 7, with no luck. Changed batteries in remote twice but the LED always comes on, it's just that the system DOES NOT IN ANY WAY register that the USB dongle is plugged in."

Excellent Remote for HTPC
Date:January 4, 2012
Pros: Weight, Bluetooth
"Good it for about 24 bucks so a great deal. Really Mobile and works over more than 15 feet. The buttons are slightly small and having the keyboard backlit would have been great but otherwise a great deal for the price."

Works well but there's room of improvement.
Date:December 30, 2011
Pros: Weight, Battery, Storage
Cons: Keyboard/peripherals
"This is one handy device but could use some design upgrades. The ease of connecting it to different system makes it great when you're trouble shooting. The handy storage for the mini-dongle makes this a great tool if you have to move arount alot and the On/Off switch really saves on the batteries. On the other hand the keyboard needs to be atleast 50% larger and the placement of the track ball buttons needs some thought. I haven't used the special buttons much so I can't fairly judge them. Over all I would recommend this remote for and person who works on multiple systems."

Pros: Build Quality
"Have had this for a few months connected to a win 7 mini pc connected to the tv. I also have a full size keyboard and a media center remote control. This is useful when you just need to do a small amount of typing while your in tv set mode, the range is great and it plays nice with the other input devices. It is smaller than I though but still handy. Mini PC has an intel atom cpu."

It is what it is, the keyboard functions
Date:October 5, 2011
Pros: Battery
Cons: Input/Output compatibility
"A small, convenient portable keyboard for USB devices.
I bought this to add to my Sony BluRay Internet equipped player. There are times I wanted to more easily type in some search terms. The on-screen keyboard input method leaves a lot to be desired. I bought this USB dongle connected keyboard to help.
It does help, but too bad not all the capabilities of the portable keyboard are not implemented with my Sony BluRay player - namely the trackball does not work with the Sony Player.
Perhaps someday Sony will have a more full featured external USB connection. But, for now, that is not the problem of Lenovo."

Review 11 for Lenovo Multimedia Remote with keyboard N5901 - Best seller
"I have used a variety of devices to control my HTPC which I use for viewing Media, occasional surfing and PC maintenance. These include an assortment of BT devices including the logitech DiNovo and Harmony. Neither has come close to this little keyboard in reliability, ease of access and distance. The HTPC is located in the basement - 15 feet from the display and a good 20 ft straight line from my usual location and I never have a problem with the PC being unreachable which happens with the DiNovo. The Harmony controls more devices but frankly these days the HTPC is all I need and the Harmony was just never built to really control a PC. Is it perfect - no. The trackball can be a bit senstive. A little damping of the movement would go a long way. And would it be nice if I could turn my big Samsung LCD off from the key board. But for everything else it beats the rest hands down."

"I used this keyboard for my ps3. It works fine even with 8m far from the ps3. Good response every time. all keys work with ps3. I never used it with pc. It's portable. Nice design. But I dont like the track ball. Its too sensitive. Main drawback is no back light for this model. I highly recommend to buy newer model with back light. I wish I could buy that. Its very hard to read any keys under low light. small keys. But for the price its worth."

Review 13 for Lenovo Multimedia Remote with keyboard N5901 - Best seller
"I bought this as the keyboard/mouse for my living room HTPC. It fails on nearly every level for this purpose. The range is not good: it doesn't even reach about 10 feet to my couch, I have to move a chair to about the 6ft range to stop the signal from cutting in and out. Typing on it is atrocious, you pretty much have to look down at the keyboard and if you make a mistake you don't see it up on the screen until you have to backspace over six characters. Scrolling a window is really tough, you have to use two hands with one finger holding down the left click button while the other hand rolls the trackball. I can see it working for other uses, but it nothing short of frustrating for the living room. I see now the severe need of a backlit keyboard to be useful for an HTPC."

"I've had the item for 6 months and the track ball just stopped working. Also it would be nice if the keyboard is illuminated and if it was bluetooth capable."

Review 15 for Lenovo Multimedia Remote with keyboard N5901 - Best seller
"I use this little thing in my car, as i have a CarPC setup. The computer itself is in the trunk, along with the little wireless dongle that is included. Works perfectly fine from in the cabin, and i can even use it from outside of the car a relatively long distance, if i were to want to change the song from afar. It's a great product, the track ball is responsive, the keys work nicely, and the music buttons at the top are very nice, as they work automatically with Windows Media Player.
But here are my concerns, most of which, lead to why this recieved a 3 star rating in the design category. First off, the mouse buttons are a little hard to use. I wish they didn't try so hard integrate them and smooth it out.
Also, the keyboard is pretty hard to use, as they used relatively flat keys, on a keyboard that's pretty compact.
My last issue with the product is the wireless antenna within the product itself. Whenever you put your hands around the upper back of the keyboard, to say, use the actual keypad, the wireless capability just disappears. If i want to type something in while using this, i have to put it on my leg or against something hard and try to type on it like a regular keyboard instead of with my thumbs. It's strange how the antenna works like that.
Maybe mine's just faulty, and others are having good luck with theres, but i still highly recommend getting one of these little things, especially if you have a CarPC."

Review 16 for Lenovo Multimedia Remote with keyboard N5901 - Best seller
"I love this thing. It fits well in my hand and it has almost all the keys I would need; like the F keys. And it works in the Bios too! It eels natural typing with it, cause it was like using my iPhones' touch screen. Great range. too. I have my PC hooked up to my 60" HDTV and a full size keyboard would be just too bulky to deal with.. I esspesially love the ctrl+alt+del button preprogramed, comes in real handy. The only sugestions i have for the nex model would be; a backlit keypad and maybe integrating a touch pad instead of the trackball to make it easier to scroll and select multiple items. Also a Docking station option or USB plugin to recharge the batteries. Keep up the good work, I look forward to the next one."

Nice except for One Problem
Date:April 20, 2011
Pros: Build Quality
Cons: key labels way too small
"As others have said, this keyboard is great. Unfortunately I find the size of the letters on the keys are excessively small. The keys are small, but manageable. The small size of the the key designations makes it very difficult to see what key you are trying to type. Any condition other than perfect lighting makes reading the key label very difficult. I consider this a serious design flaw. The key labeling should at least be twice as big (I mean twice as tall and twice as wide) and they should be bolder. Plenty of room the make the bible size print much, much bigger."

MY SECOND PURCHASE - AND WORTH EVERY PENNY!
Date:March 23, 2011
Pros: Input/Output compatibility, Durability, Software compatibility, Keyboard/peripherals, the best input device
Cons: no backlight
"I must be the biggest fan of this product. After a couple years of non-stop daily use and countless dropping onto a concrete floor, on button was a little bit sticky, so I GLADLY bought another and still think this is THE BEST TRACKBALL/INPUT DEVICE I've ever owned.
Yes .... there is NO BACK LIGHT .... but compared to it's wireless trackball flawless use, durability and price .... I couldn't possibly give more praise and high enough review for this product.
Thanks Lenovo!"

"The keys are little small (or I have big fingers :) but it's not much different from my Blackberry - in fact it is bigger and easier to use. If you can manage email using a Blackberry, this is so much easier to type stuff in. The range is good and power consumption is pretty impressive.
I use it most with my HTPC. Perfect little universal control."

Review 20 for Lenovo Multimedia Remote with keyboard N5901 - Best seller
"I used to use a large wireless keyboard but it was always in the way. This remote is great. I was worried I would have a problem with the small keys but the design makes it easy to hit the right key. Lenovo customer service was great. I had a problem with one key repeatedly getting stuck. They sent me a new unit overnight."
