"I used this laptop to take notes at school and it performs admirably. The digitizer and screen work extremely well and the screen's IPS display looks and feels really good.
Not a big fan of the Fn and CTRL button placement, when I switch to other computer's my fingers get confused.
"Lenovo has always been the pioneer of many features a laptop could have to offer, and this is definitely shown in the amazing X230 Tablet.
The placing of every peripheral is relevant and makes for easy access and use. The design of the keyboard is exemplary, and allows for accurate and fast typing. The trackpoint is not something I use, because I prefer the touchpad, which, in my opinion, could have been made better. Finger gestures do not work as well as I would have liked, and the click buttons seem awkward to use. On the other hand, the touch screen and stylus are very useful, and highly accurate. The fingerprint scanner is also useful and quickens the logging-in process.
The screen is very bright and has great saturation and contrast compared to other laptops I have used.
The hinge is very sturdy, contrary to popular belief, and is very simple to use as well.
The buttons for certain functions (Mute, mute microphone, volume, turn screen) are positioned very well and ergonomically.
The processor is very impressive, and allows for extensive multitasking with no slowing down whatsoever. The graphics card allows for moderate gaming, which is impressive for such a small laptop.
The battery life is a very subjective matter to judge, but on maximum performance, the 6-cell battery lasts about 3 hours. In my opinion, this is very adequate. The battery will get you though a whole day easily if the performance is lowered just slightly.
The included software is, in my opinion, bulky and slow. Most of the software takes time to open, and does not seem to be integrated well into Windows.
Lenovo has obviously used very sturdy and high-quality materials in building this laptop, though it seems they did not spend too much time streamlining the design as to make it look more modern. The design looks no different from laptops that existed a decade ago, which, in my opinion, is not a problem, because it does not hamper productivity, which is of real importance.
Overall, the Lenovo X230 Tablet is very productive and a joy to use this laptop, especially for professional purposes. It really gets things done, in the way that will make you happiest."
