"I have setup 2 of these for my clients and they love them. I love them too! Great computer that has given me 0 problems. Uses a small footprint. Built very sturdy. My only complaint is no HDMI out and no USB 3.0 ports on the front. Outside that it's awesome for a workstation! Not really a gaming rig."
"Product was not what I thought it was. I think Lenovo misrepresented this system. If you read the user guide you will see that it says they offer 2 different mother boards. spec's did not indicate this. It turns out that this is because they offer differing SATA options depending on the mother board. I thought all of the SATA ports were to be SATA 3.0 connectors. Not true. See pages 13-14 of the user guide. So depending on what IO your order you will get a different mother board. Almost sent this system back. Limits my upgrade potential. First week the audio on mother board went bad. Support was good about fixing it."
"I guess I did not read the spec's good. But I was surprised by this product having one of 2 different motherboards based on the number of DVD and Hard drives that you order. So to my amazment my mother board only had one SATA 3.0 connector not what I expected. I expected all 4 to be SATA 3.0. One is SATA, 2 are SATA 2. I almost sent this system back. I think the website miss represented what you get.
It isn't a bad system. I like how quite it is. I like that it was not to costly.
I like the on-site support. Within week of installing the system the audio on the motherboard went bad. The service rep was very good. Lenovo did not have the warranty data right and they had to fix that but once it was fixed everthing went real smooth"
Cons: Keyboard/peripherals, Security Features, Included Software, Software compatibility
"Well, if you have gone for the M82 I won't say its a bad purchase because it has got a host of new features like WiFi availability, high speed (though it may be come in use onlty sometimes) and good resolution on the screen.Plus the added features like big screen and Windows 8 software with Simple Tap and Cloud computing (which is definitely a help if yopu have twio or more comoputers and want to link them up). As regards cloud storage, it has got the Sugarsync membership free for 1 year and this will give you anidea about cloud(if you are new to this). I had hoped that they would give the entire Office suite free alongwith this but they have given only the Starter edition.Wewll, that's the con part of it-you may buy it separately ionline. Also the Norton anti-virus protection is given free for a month and after that it gets to be a pain because it reminds you everytime you start the desktop.
Though my review is more focussed on soft features, I would also say somerthiong about the key board which is designed to be that of a laptop and it gets time to get used rto it.
The function keys have been replaced by monitor resolution keys but you can still use them.
But it also comes with a wireless mouse and a keyboard that the plus point.
Only the screen monitor is a monitor plus computer all in one."
Pros: Weight, Processor, Included software, Memory
"I have had the M82 for three months now and have had good luck with it. Pros: Runs quiet and seams to have enough power for my current needs. Cons: Fan started to run full speed one day and would not stop. I opened the case and did not see any obstruction. I blew air across the CPU heat sink and problem went away."
