Awful experience

Date:October 19, 2014
"I have always been impressed by my friends Lenovos but this was an awful computer. After it took Lenovo 3 weeks to get the thing to me it had a faulty hard drive. So after waiting for the hard drive and installing they told me i had a faulty CPU so I had to send it in to get repaired. I got it back to find out it has a horrendous Wi Fi card my 3 year old, barely functioning, budget, HP runs 20-30 times faster. My microphone will not work if I have ear buds plugged into the input. All in all it is one of the worst computers I have ever come in contact with. There are some 10 year old computers that run better."

Excellent value

Date:October 18, 2014
"I bought mine with the A10 apu and windows 7. Without external upgrades, it boots up extremely slowly (what laptop doesn't with a mechanical hdd). However, I also bought a 512gb Crucial ssd and 16gb of Ballistix RAM, and now it boots up like a champ. The integrated graphics are impressive, as I can play Skyrim smoothly (I recommend an external cooling pad if you plan on doing any gaming, as any laptop can get rather hot without one). The processor also performs very well for the price. If you don't want to throw down $1700 for an i7 laptop, the e545 is an excellent choice.
Oh, and this almost goes without saying, but as with any Lenovo laptop, the keyboard is excellent and it comes with a lot of nice software to keep your system running smoothly."

ThinkPad E545

Date:October 17, 2014
"I purchased this through Amazon based on the reviews. In the 2 1/2 weeks that I have had it it has locked on me more times than I can count. The keyboard locks solid. No way can Ctrl/Alt/Delete even begin to work. The on and off button freezes so it must be completely shut down. The non-glare screen does make the screen difficult to see vs the typical screens. When it is working it is nice to use and the features on it are good. Trying to get through all the tech questions online, not to mention even locating this model, was frustrating. I have a Lenovo PC desk model and have had no problems with it. This laptop I am seriously considering returning. I bought it for
convenience.
