"This is a review for the L412 model. I am very fond of my little laptop. It is sturdy, particularly in the attachment of the screen, which is great, because I have dragged it everywhere for the last year or two and not been very careful about putting it down gently. The hardware is rock solid, reliably, well-made, could not praise it more.
It does not, I am afraid, get along perfectly with the pre-installed OS, Windows 7 64-bit, which persists in the stupidest of driver errors and failed updates. However, when I called Lenovo, they were wonderfully helpful. They offered to walk me through some things (even though Windows is not their problem, exactly), and sent me a recovery disk the minute I asked. When my charger had a problem, they shipped me a new one. Free shipping. Again, faultless, easy customer service, very little automation, and committed to being helpful. Most laptops will eventually have some problems, and I would recommend a Lenovo laptop just because they make these problems so easy and so pleasant (surprisingly!) to deal with."
"Ok so many good points. But a persistent error with the USB controller has driven me nuts over the 5 months I've owned this machine. Working through issue with support so I may return and revise. But you shouldn't have to power cycle a machine in this day and age to get something to work on a regular basis."

Review 3 for ThinkPad L420
IBM, Now Lenovo
Date:April 18, 2012
"Over the years whenever I was in the market for a Laptop, I wanted something that worked for me in giving presentations to established and prospective customers. I needed a product that not only was usable now, but was rugged and would last. My first was a A30 Thinkpad and it still works. I've owned several different models of the years and was pleased to see a product that is a good value and one I know will serve me for years to come. I'm also excited to see the new inovations that Lenovo incorporates into the laptop. I love my L420, great weight and travels well (light). The features are remarkable."
