"This machine performs very well. It is my second ThinkPad Edge.. this AMD runs much better and cooler than the other one with the Intel i3 processor does.
"This was my third IBM / Lenovo laptop, and like the others it was as good as its reputation. This is a terrific machine. I got it with Windows 7 Professional 32-bit, and I like it a lot. The Edge laptop is a little chunkier than some other models, and like a lot of new laptops the finish attracts fingerprints, but I consider those small things. The feel of the keyboard and the functioning of the pointing stick and touchpad are excellent."
Review 3 for ThinkPad Edge 14" with AMD processors

"With my purchase, I added memory to 4Gb and had Windows 7 64 bit option. It is a gift for my attorney. She needed a new notebook badly.
The notebook is good looking, speedy and very adequate for the price. The keyboard and tracking devices all work beautifully and have very good feel.
It does not feel as solid as, say, a Macbook (not Macbook Pro), but then it does not command that price either. It flexes a little bit. The speed is very good and the power of the discrete graphics chip shows. All in all, I am happy and the feedback from my attorney friend is hugely positive.
No idea about reliability yet, but the portability is good."
"I have to say this is the wonderful product that you can imagine. beautiful look, strong computation ability and comfortable use feeling. great product!!"
"Built to be a value machine - meaning omitting a few things I want but giving a lot. Model 019923U lacks a drive-busy light, keyboard light, and has a shiney reflection prone screen -not the mat finish of my five dearly loved older Thinkpads. I found a "gadget" software light that fixes the light issue. It has 4 Gig of ram, WOW and the dual core proc is a real speeder upper. OH, i wish it had a 7200 HD drive, THAT WOULD REALLY SPEED UP THIS OR ANY MACHINE, but price would jump up around $50 bucks, ok. But the win7 Home Premium 64 bit is Sooo much better that the gad auful vista on a desktop I have. Also the Lenovo enhancements to the OS are really nice. Lenovo is a really GOOD company that stands behind the product and answers the phone with GOOD techs. I LOVE LENOVO AND THIS MACHINE ! btw The keypad with 3 buttons is great and 2 more below it ! Keeping the elegantly named "ultra nav pointing device" aka "the red nipple" in the center of the keyboard was GENIUS, I'm sure all prior Thinkpad users say "Thank You" as do I."
