Customer Reviews for Lenovo N308
Review 1 for Lenovo N308
So much promise - so little delivered
Date:June 7, 2014
"I think that I reviewed this a couple of months ago, but the web site for the N308 disappeared. I returned the computer. The screen was very bad (off-angle viewing poor). It had a actual hard drive but you could not access it. The unit was very heavy partly because there was way more useless glass. The screen was 19.5 in a 21.5 cabinet. It sounded like a great idea and the specs were great, but the actual computer was a flop."
"This looked like the best desktop/tablet ever. But it doesn't deliver. It is fast, has a battery, and works well. It has the sensors required for game play. But it fails on many fronts: The screen is not IPS so off-angle is poor. You cannot use the hard drive except by using a file manager. You cannot use the hard drive to store Apps. It is heavier than necessary because the case is much bigger than the screen size. I have another Lenovo tablet and I love it, but this device never delivers its promise."
"Got my N308 yesterday. Within 25 minutes (including unpacking) had it up and running. Connection to the internet was a breeze. Very responsive, quick. Keyboard and mouse are great features you don't find on many tablets. Sure, you can get a bluetooth keyboard to use on other tablets, but they are typically dinky, cramped ones. The N308 keyboard is near full-sized and comfortable to use, mouse works great! Then also the screen is touch, so sometimes I'm in a quandry of which input to use. The price is excellent, especially with the promo going on. Am going to buy another (white when they become available. EXCELLENT machine! Only thing which could be improved is mouse and keyboard use alkaline batteries; wish they coud be rechargeable batteries which coul charge off of one of the USB ports."
