Great product ruined by bad touchscreen
Date:21 June 2014
"95% of the time this is a fantastic device with a great, unique form with a brilliant battery life and decent performance for a tablet. That final 5% however is related to the touchscreen which is a deal breaker.
Firstly it is possibly the least accurate touch screen I have used in recent years. If you want to draw or write on your tablet, look elsewhere. It feels like it has about 3dpi! It also regularly fails and stops working entirely requiring you to either restart or reboot the touchscreen driver. This has happened 3-4 times in the past week alone for me! It's a regular issue not simply confined to my own device and a quick search on your favourite search engine will bring up many forums of people complaining at this fault. As it appears to be a driver issue, I don't know why it hasn't be resolved yet with an update??
If you like to use the touchscreen on your tablet, this is one to avoid."
"I am afraid I have to imagine what this Tablet will be like and admire the pictures I can find on various sites that have had the privilege to touch the real item. It’s a shame us Brits always have to wait so long. Hopefully Lenovo will launch this sometime soon in the UK, here’s hoping I may get one from Christmas."
"Had this for about three weeks now. It's nice and light and great for travelling. I have only used tablet and laptop modes. Connecting the tablet to the included keyboard can be a bit hit and miss, you need to watch for the on-screen mouse pointer and listen for the usb hardware chime to be sure it's connected. When connected, the keyboard adds two full-size usb ports - very useful. I have used them and the tablet's micro usb port to connect, via an adaptor to a usb modem and to memory sticks. Included full version of Microsoft Office 2013 is very welcome."
