Owned Product:7-12 months
Operating System:Windows 8 Pro
Processor:Intel Core i7
Memory:4 GB or more

Does what it says on the tin!

Date:03 January 2014
Pros: Input/Output compatibility, Processor, Durability, Memory, Video card, Wireless card, Screen size, Build Quality, Storage, Display performance
Cons: Weight
"This laptop is a good solid workhorse, and despite the comments about the keyboard in other reviews, I found it just as comfortable to use as my other non-island keyboards. (that is from an engineer/software developer that uses it for coding/cli work as much as for GUI work)
It suffers from a power brick that doubles the weight of the whole package, and putting Windows 8/8.1 on it is not a good idea, but that can be easily fixed by using 7 :)
Aside from that, its exactly what I expect from Lenovo: solid, reliable, with enough power to do the stuff I want (including resource hogs like GNS3)."

Great laptop ruined by the worst keyboard

Date:25 April 2013
Pros: Warranty, Processor, Durability, Memory, Build Quality, Storage
Cons: Display resolution, Support, Keyboard/peripherals, Software compatibility
"Thinkpads used to be known for the best in class keyboard, but Lenovo replaced legendary 7 row gapless Thinkpad keyboard with an Apple imitation in the T530. Tactile feedback of each key is similar, but steep side keys makes it harder for fingers to glide across.
The most damaging change to the keyboard is removal of Pause/Break, Page back, Page forward, Numlock and access the entire numeric keypads keys. This makes the laptop keyboard completely unusable for engineers, programmers and advanced users, who use command line or software that treats numeric keypad input differently.
The screen resolution of the T530 is 10% lower than the older Thinkpad T500 and T61p
T530 is ok for casual users or regular office worker but not recommended for engineers, programmer or power users."
