"Hard to understand why the structure design been changed from excellent to imperfect complicated design. 1- The notebook Construction" shell and top cover" ,not strong and collapse under pressure or strain and drop . I accidently dropped my X240 FROM 30CM HIGH to a carpet and LCD cover CRACK.2-Weak imperfect material around the LCD easy to damage or crack during repair the LCD Display for any reason3- The speakers underneath the X240 body .4-Changing the Hard drive , memory, keyboard not easy, require opening the whole base .5-Small gap at lower end of the TrackPad unhelpful during click.6-No HDMI connection.7- Cannot Access power manager to change system settings .8-unable to downgrade to Windows 7 , as you know most software still not compatible with windows 8."
"I recommend the X240 because is the best Lenovo ThinkPad I ever used ,excellent performance ,design better than the X220,X230 definitely. It take less than 8 seconds to access and use windows believe it or not.it comes with windows 8 pro may be for someone windows 7 better but for me I like windows 8. About mobility it was excellent to have an option for upgrade to 512 SSD Drive.
The FHD is not necessary. But the NFC yes
I recommend upgrade the warranty service and if possible extend the Drive to 512GB"
