Two serious faults with this laptop

Date:03 June 2013
Pros: Processor, Memory, Video card, Screen size
Cons: Wireless card, Build Quality, Durability
"There are 2 issues with this laptop. See the forums for more information.
1. The touchpad is faulty causing the cursor to jump around and click randomly. This is a hardware fault.
2. The WiFi connection drops off randomly. Sometimes it works others not and you have to reconnect manually each time. There doesn't seem to be a solution for this yet.
I've had 2 laptops already as the first one was returned, the second has the same issues and is now at Lenovo supposedly being fixed. The hassle factor has been huge as I use this for work.

IdeaPad Review

Date:24 May 2013
Pros: Weight, Keyboard/peripherals, Build Quality
Cons: Display resolution, Wireless card, web cam
"I have owned this product for 1 month. On the face of it the IdeaPad has everything you need. However, i cannot understand why the speakers are underneath the laptop as this muffles the sound quality.
There are two things that disappoint me. 1) The webcam, which is supposed to HD quality, is appalling. Everyone i contact via Skype complain that it appears i am in a fog. 2) The network adapter is supposed to be 'n' compliant, but whichever network i am using it only shows a speed of 72.2.
Lastly, i am somewhat surprised the IdeaPad is so slow loading from start up when you consider the specification.
If the main two problems can be sorted out, i would not hesitate in recommending it to anyone, but i have my reservations that this will be the case."

Do not buy this laptop!

Date:25 April 2013
Pros: Processor, Screen size
Cons: Support, Weight, Keyboard/peripherals, Build Quality
"There is a major flaw with the touchpad of the U510. Look at the Lenovo Forums and you will see what I mean. I have had 2 of these and have had to return both of them with the same issue. The touchpad causes the mouse pointer to jump around the screen and click randomly causing you to lose work.
Lenovo support are useless as they just keep telling you to re-install the drivers, but this is a hardware issue. Until Lenovo resolve this - STAY AWAY FROM THE LAPTOP!
