Great for a niche user

Date:11 June 2014
"I use Tablet PC's to produce online materials for university students. The combination of a fast processor, stylus and screen recoding software is ideal for my needs. The X230T is lightning fast at creating video output thanks to the i7 chip.
The main downsides are battery life (struggles to last more than two hours), and cost (nearly £2,000 is excessive).
Lenovo's support website is a hit and miss affair."

Very good office tool

Date:16 May 2014
"I love it! Writing with the pen during meetings, at the desk with docking station, and mobile also powerful with battery life sufficient.
A very nice combination! Has brought me to the paperless office a big step. Thanks!

One of the best all-in-one powerful solutions

Date:01 May 2014
"Pros: Lots of features and I/O expansion ports already present to the main unit, Great support, Fast and powerful for it's size, Integrated Wacom digitizer (instead of a cheap touch screen) and Premium IPS Panel which is marvelous.
Cons: Battery life and reliability could be better, WWAN Interface is not supported by Windows 8 and onwards, Screen resolution could be higher."

The Best Automotive professional laptop ever!

Date:27 December 2013
Pros: Battery, Input/Output compatibility, Warranty, Processor, Security Features, Support, Included software, Durability, Software compatibility, Memory, Bluetooth, Wireless card, Keyboard/peripherals, Screen size, Build Quality, Storage, Display resolution, Display performance
Cons: Video card
"I have been using this brand since the t23 days. Have used every other brand, but always ended up using my old thinkpads.
This brand is simply the best.
It's cheaper to buy the basic model and perform the ssd and memory upgrade yourself.
Showing windows experience of 7.2, memory 7.2 (12 gb) and 7.9 for the SSD drive ( top score is 7.9).
Proof of performance ;-)"

A good Laptop to take outside your Office

Date:15 March 2013
Pros: Battery, Weight, Processor, Durability, Bluetooth, Wireless card, Screen size, Storage, Display resolution, Display performance
Cons: Input/Output compatibility, Keyboard/peripherals, Build Quality
"To compare with some workstation just like my M18x with Quadro in it or W530 Series, this X230T has an light weight and can take to anywhere u like with about 10-hours battery life.(with Dock battery)
Compared to some Tablet and something between tablet and laptop such as Twist and Lenovo Tablet. You know those CPU and GPU compared to i7 is totally rubbish. You can not run any enterprise software on it. Office Suit, CAD, MAX, Maya..............When u have something to show to your customers or boss, you do not want to take your suitcase with u.
Twist function is not useful than i think. If u can, choose X230 instead of X230T, because it has better performance and cheap price.
The last thing i want to say, give back the keyboard! Please!"

Clunky, heavy and outdated

Date:15 January 2013
Pros: Warranty, Support, Build Quality
Cons: Bluetooth, Weight, Keyboard/peripherals, Software compatibility
"I have the top of the range machine yet still it is slow to use. The tablet function doesn't work well and despite many effort I can't get the pen to calibrate to make it usable, the cursor floats about 0.5cm in front of the pen nib. The Bluetooth mouse seems to forget its connected to the laptop and you have to keep sync'ing them. Overall, I would not recommend."

Very average, overpriced

Date:26 October 2012
"I have the highest spec machine and in general it is very disappointing to work with. The transition between tablet/pc is not smooth at all and the screen rotation is very clumsy.
The touch screen is pretty good but doesn't make up for the fact thats its an absolute beast to carry around in one hand. The response is sometimes a bit laggy when switching between pen and finger touch.
Personally I would not recommend buying this machine and suggest waiting to see what new laptop/tablet options become available with Windows 8."
