Customer Reviews for Lenovo G710
Review 1 for Lenovo G710
lacking for the price
Date:10 July 2014
"has a non standard keyboard, it's compacted too much. the 0 on the number pad is too small, and I end up hitting the cursor instead, the shift keys are too small... keys are just too "jammed together" and at $1000, I would expect a standard keyboard layout. my $400 gateway and HP both did.
also, it's a 17" monitor, I was surprised that it doesn't support 1080p, it only goes to 1600x900 - I should have noticed that in the specs I suppose.
that being said, it's fast, it's quiet, and so far seems like a solid laptop. I'll be travelling next week and will finally be able to give it a workout.
I can't rate it's reliability yet, haven't had it long enough"
Review 2 for Lenovo G710
Owned Product:1-6 months
Operating System:Windows 8
Processor:Intel Pentium Dual Core
worse purchase ever
Date:20 February 2014
"Cannot update windows 8.1 cannot use latest Skpe application, contacted Lenovo to no avail. On reflection should have bought HP."
Pros: Processor, Memory, Video card, Keyboard/peripherals, Screen size
Cons: Support, Durability
"bought it in Dec 2012 for my daughter. She needed it for home work plus games like SIMS. I have to say the video card so far works very well - better than our desktop that does not have dedicated graphics card. However the screen has developed a yellowish line right down the middle of the screen. Called support who said that it might need a new screen . I now have to take it back to PC World and it could take 10 days Very disappointing for a product only 2 months old!"
