Review 1 for ThinkPad Ultralight TopLoad
Date: April 30, 2014
"Pros: light, strong & protective. Cons: It's just too small.
Bought this with an X1 Carbon. Add a tablet (there's a separate partition - tick) and power supply and there's not much room left. The design curves and tampers sharply towards the top zippered opening preventing much else from being carried, eg. books, lunch, folders. The sharp angles of the corners cause the zippers to jam if anything else is carried. That said it does hold the X1 & tablet securely and free from bumps. This in not a substitute for a backpack - it's more a sleeve on steroids."
Review 2 for ThinkPad Ultralight TopLoad
Owned Product:Less than a month
Casual, compact case - very tight fit
Date: February 5, 2014
Pros: Build Quality, materials feel substantial, extremely lightweight, adequate protection, space enough for essentials
Cons: not a lot of space for extras, funky looks, cannot hold 14" thinkpad with extended battery
"Purchased this along with a new 14" ThinkPad. The hex molding on the back is backed w/red & zippers are lined in red - not an executive-look case. I don't particularly like the look, but others might. The handle is basically just a slot in the rubberized backing, but it has proven very secure. The case is extremely lightweight and takes up minimal space - as advertised. The laptop is securely held with no shifting. Only real problem is that it will not actually hold my new laptop as I purchased the larger 9-cell battery and I cannot close the zipper with the 9-cell battery inserted. Would have been nice if the website had made this limitation clear."
