"I purchased this because I am moving between my old and new Work laptops and needed to backup/transfer a lot of data. Before the purchase I did a backup to a USB external drive and then loaded it to the new laptop. However I was not able to start using the new laptop since I had some essential Licensed software that I could not load onto the new laptop, and so kept using the old and sure enough needed to re-do data xfer.
However this time i had the bought "USB PC to PC File Transfer Device L2" and used it to copy directly from old to new. Worked GREAT and fast xfer speed.
Only complaint is the interface does not let you select multiple directories to copy at a time. Oh well!!!
