Laser will not light

"All laser mice from Lenovo are good and a value for the price. But for some strange reason, the laser on this mouse will not illuminate. I have tried it on three different Lenovo Thinkpads, all of which the travel laser mouse version illuminate perfectly. Lenovo/IBM has replaced this mouse several times and every time I speak with customer support, I am told the laser should be lite. Very odd and maybe there is a reason that has eluded the support staff."

"Original mouse lasted 10 years before it wore out. New mouse is same as the OME that came with the IBM computer. This is a very friendly and obedient mouse. It does exactly what I tell it to and without hesitation or complaint. It is brave, loyal, understanding, and easy to use. I named it Hershall."

"Good overall laptop, but there is no pre-cover cd. My harddrive crashed which I could not recovered from preinstalled software.
