"I bought my first IBM in the mid 1990's and have never purchased anything but IBM/Lenovo products since.
The Tower model I customed ordered in Oct. 2011, has the Intel Core i7-2600 Processor with 16GB of memory, 1TB hard drive, USB 3.0, plus all the best additional features.
I use my computer mainly for business and professional use. I work with extremely high graphic designs, similar to a CAD program, which require a lot of memory and hard drive space. My machine works like a dream, fast and efficient.
We also own a small ranch, so accounting programs are a necessity. I can download bank and credit card info in a flash.
I always get the 3 year on-site warranty with priority support. They both have served me well in the past. I have only needed support help a few times since my purchase. They are very helpful and clear with instructions.
"This model contains the i5-2400 chip with 4 gb of memory. The hard drive capacity is 320 gb. Been using this PC for about a month, and I've been satisfied with the performance - the i5-2400 works well and fast. The physical size of the PC suits my needs, as I use it primarily for online trading, so I don't need the bulk of a large desktop cluttering up my work space. Seems to be solidly built, and no tools needed to open the box or remove the HD or cd/dvd drives.
Positives are maximum of 16 gb of ram can be installed, the video performance is very good if used for business applications, 2 monitors can be hooked up, the built in speaker is OK for what I need to do, the PC cooling fan is pretty quiet, and some extra slots are available on the motherboard for future upgrade. Nice 3-year warranty coverage.
Negatives are the hard drive capacity is relatively small at 320 gb - at least 750 gb would be nice, no built in wireless, no USB 3, and no bay for at least another drive - so only three stars for features. Still a good small work machine."
