Cons: Display resolution, Wireless card, Bluetooth, lack of digitizer
"This is really the best laptop I've owned and I could not see myself with anything else. I use it to takes notes in classe (with the keyboard) and read digital comics.
It's fast and seems very solid. Its materials are really nice, especially the rubber-like material on keyboard and sides, which makes it really comfortable to type. Switching mode is a breeze and the keyboard is not too bothersome.
Performance has been great for me, boots up in a flash.
I do some light gaming. CivV requires tweaking though.
My main cons are the bluetooth and wireless cards. The wireless card performance was iffy in the first two weeks though it's okay now. The bluetooth driver gave me a bluescreen and then I have to remove and reinstall it to be able to use my mouse."
Cons: Storage, Video card, Display resolution, Wireless card, Input/Output compatibility, Battery, Keyboard/peripherals, Included Software, Processor, Display performance
"I will start by saying that while I was worried about the design I actually really the design of the laptop. However, performance leaves much to be desired. Most of the performance improvements over my old laptop are a result of windows 8. In every other way my 3+ year old Sony annihilates the performance of this computer. The SSD's are slow, the wireless internet performance is poor and the CPU stutters under the most basic tasks. Despite showing a US keyboard layout on the website =it came with a multilingual key board, which is unacceptable for a touch typist. Please be aware of this fact before buying this computer. Overall, for the price the laptop is a good value, but it is easily outclassed by an 3+ year old laptop."
"I agree with christat13, The specs and performance is good. However, this would be a 10/10 laptop if it has an option to allow to take notes ( kinda like a windows surface tablet ). That would seriously made this device "unreal""
"I have had my Yoga 2 for about five days now. It is absolutely impressive. Its extremely quiet, boots up in a flash, screen resolution is awesome, keyboard feels great and thankfully does not have any extra keys causing you to re-learn how to type. Oh yeah, its super thin and super light.
The combination of the tablet and laptop is amazing. I can be using Excel one moment and then flip into tablet mode and read a magazine. So far its been a seamless experience and I am very impressed.
Hopefully the next version will have the option to use a stylus to take notes on along with a 3G card (yeah, I know I'm pushing it but it would replace my iPad which would be nice).
If you are looking for a new laptop that does more, take a good look at the Yoga 2."
