Thinkpads used to be known for the best in class keyboard, but Lenovo replaced legendary 7 row gapless Thinkpad keyboard with an Apple imitation in the T530. Tactile feedback of each key is similar, but steep side keys makes it harder for fingers to glide across.
The most damaging change to the keyboard is removal of Pause/Break, Page back, Page forward, Numlock and access the entire numeric keypads keys. This makes the laptop keyboard completely unusable for engineers, programmers and advanced users, who use command line or software that treats numeric keypad input differently.
The screen resolution of the T530 is 10% lower than the older Thinkpad T500 and T61p
T530 is ok for casual users or regular office worker but not recommended for engineers, programmer or power users.
